Army Chief of Staff: Private Weapons on Fort Hood Would Not Have Helped

General Mark Milley, the Army Chief of Staff, made one of the dumbest remarks possible about the shooting at Fort Hood when Major Nidal Hassan killed 13 people and injured 30 more.  In stereotypical liberal fashion, he claims that Army law enforcement arrived "within 8 minutes and that shooter was dead."

From the time the Major Hassan started shooting until those 8 minutes had passed, someone with a concealed carry weapon, or a military-issued weapon, could have killed Major Hassan and minimized the number of deaths and injuries.

It is astonishing to me how stupid this remark is.  It is the equivalent of saying that people should not be able to defend themselves against burglars, robbers, home invaders or other criminals because police are only 8 minutes away after you call 911.

And while you wait for the police to arrive, dirt bags like Major Hassan continue to shoot, kill and mame while police make their way to the crime scene.

Shame on you Major Milley.
